Screen Resolutions?

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 1:40 PM
When I'm working on my art, I usually work at a higher resolution (150 or 300 dpi) and I have to resize my art when I post it up on DA. I try to resize my art to fit nicely on a screen without being too small. Typically I keep 1024x768 resolutions in mind, but how many people still have their screens at that resolution? And if you're no longer using 1024x768, what resolution is your screen now?

But basically, how is the size/dimension of my art? Is it too big to fit on your screens or is it just not big enough?

Hoy.... lots of questions...
1. What's the collection thing here?
2. How is it different than just favoriting
3. Am i supposed to thank everyone that favorites me?... i feel bad if i dont.. but.. thats a lot of people...
4. Whats the wish list for?.. like.. are the things in it stuff you want people to make for you?
5. Whats up with the webcam thing too?
1 and 2. Collection is basically organizing favorites into categories. People can view collections separately as if they were a mini gallery.
3. No, you don't have to. Some people even request that you don't leave "thanks for the fave" comments on their page.
4. The wishlist is for prints that you want to buy. If someone is really really nice, they'll buy a print for you from your wishlist. But I've never seen that happen since prints are expensive on this site.
5. The webcam is really for putting in the link to one of those sites that link up to a webcam, but pretty much you can put any image you like on it. Some people use it for posting WIP shots, some people but pictures of themselves, most people use it for putting up silly funny things. I haven't found anything really funny lately so I just have that obnoxious blinky thing.
I was going through lots of old papers the other day, and I found that sketch of Ryoko you made for me way back when. I was compelled to see if you were still around.

I'm glad to see that you are.

I was thinking about getting Skype. Should I get Skype??
If you know anyone else who has it and you would use it with, then sure! xDD
The free video-chat and audio-chat is awesome, but only when you have someone to use it with, of course. And using it for a real phone instead of to other Skype users is a lot cheaper and very reliable.
I know other people use it, I just don't have any other means to contact them, haha!
Yeah, I say get it then. rofl xD
